his is an OVA production directed and original story written by Yuji Moriyama,
known for the character designs of "All Purpose Cultural Cat-Girl Nuku Nuku".
Moriyama worked on many parts of the animation himself, while directing
it as well and it may be said that his presence can be strongly felt
in the work. Due to scriptwriters Jiro Takayama and Yousuke Kuroda,
it is filled with subtle touches of satire and parody enwrapped
in fast tempo gags.
Natsumi lives the ordinary life of a 4th grader
and her father comes home to her after an year of absence. He was trying
to build a plant in Mewguinea but since a mysterious ancient
site was discovered, the plan had come to a halt. And because he was a little upset about the decision,
he decides to bring home a figurine of a deity discovered on the site as a souvenir.
Natsumi tells him she didn't think it was cute, but while she is taking a bath,
it starts to shine mysteriously.
And that evening, Natsumi goes to bed and has a strange dream.
An old man appears and tells her he is the God of Earth and the world's creator Aham.
Aham tells her the God of Destruction Ongo that he has sealed in will come to life again.
He tells her that her powers will be needed at that time. Aham gives her a necklace
he has empowered, and starts
a strange dance. He tells her if she would dance
this embarrassing dance and do the chanting with him,
a part of Aham's power will be hers. She did not take him seriously
but when she wakes up she finds a cute boy spirit next to her.
And he happens to be Ongo that had been talked about.
