his is the television animation of the "Lost Universe", the original story written by Hajime Kanzaka of the popular "Slayers" series. The director for this film Takashi Watanabe also directs the "Slayers" series. The CG animation production company DoGA participated in the production and one of the big characteristics of this film is that the battle scenes are mostly done with computer graphics.
  The time is far into future when mankind has advanced to space. Kane Blueriver flies around the universe with a beautiful girl hologram called Canal who happens to be the main control system of his starship Sword Breaker. He commands the Sword Breaker working as a Trouble Contractor, a starship left to him by his grandmother. He is contracted to fix troubles for a fee.
  One day, he is offered a job. They want him to recover a stolen kitten coffee cup from a secret auction to be held by De Gaulles Connection, a crime organization controlling a wide territory. This auction has a reputation for selling anything from famous

paintings taken from the federal art museums; illegal new weapons that even Universe police know nothing about to every kind of stolen imports including human traffic.
  Kane infiltrates the artificial satellite at the headquarters and bumps into Detective Milly who was also checking the De Gaulles Connection from another source. Kane succeeds in recovering the stolen goods using a feint strategy against the foe with Sword Breaker. And he gets away after blasting away the bodyguard Zenan who was blocking the passage in his powered armor. The noise and claim during the fighting leaked outside and made the Universal Guardians raid and blast away the Connection men. Kane succeeds in completing his
mission but when he finds out the stolen goods were a memento of the client's grandmother, he takes only one gold piece from the payment of 990,000 credits and leaves. Trouble Contractor Kane's adventures continue as Canal's screams of anger are heard reverberating through the sky.
