In the year 2201, the Network Hisago Plan, a dream plan to connect different parts of the universe with "boson jump" is being realized. But there were several incidents of terminal colonies being destroyed one after the other. To investigate these cases, the Earth Federation Space Army dispatches Nadesico B to the Main Terminal Colony Amaterasu. The captain of Nadesico B is the beautiful sixteen years old Ruri Hoshino who was formerly an operator in the first Nadesico.
Then a mysterious black machine appears making an attack on Amaterasu. Ruri's intuition tells her that the pilot of the black machine is Akito Tenkawa who has been presumed
dead. At the same time as the attack on Amaterasu from the black-bodied Black Sarena, a coup d'etat by members who call themselves "the successors to Mars" is carried out. They blast away Amaterasu and also gain control of Mars. Increasing number of people from within the Earth Federation flock up to join in on the coup d'etat. If they get a control over the ancient site, which holds the key to navigating the bozon jump, and if they are able to monopolize the skills of boson jump, then it would make them capable of traveling in time and intervening in history. This would be the greatest coup d'etat in the history of the world.
Ruri Hoshino has secret orders to recapture Mars and is looking for the former crew of Nadesico. And in front of the grave of Dr. Iness, she runs into Akito Tenkawa presumed to have died two years ago. And what is the truth that he speaks, and the destinies that await Earth and the crew of Nadesico....?
