action fantasy created by Hiro Majima, now appearing
serially in "Shukan Shonen Magazine" published by Kodansha
Ltd. Originally the comic was a huge hit with sales of
over ten million copies. The director is Takashi Watanabe
of the "Boogie Pop" and "Slayers (TV Series)" and the
animation production, is in the hands of Studio DEEN,
the producer of "You're Under Arrest" and "Fruits Basket".
The story goes back about fifty years. There was a great
war that split the world into two. There was a magical stone holding evil powers
called "Dark Bring" and another stone of a sacred nature called "Rave", which
held the power of the Light, the only power that could contain the other. The
battle of the two powers brought the world into a great war. The sacred swordsman
Kensei Siva, the only one who could control Rave, and the servant of the stone
Prue, had cornered Dark Bring and was about to win a victory over him. But Dark
Bring who seemed to be dying had not died despite suffering from deep wounds.
Having survived, Dark Bring let loose energy called "Great Destruction (Overdrive)",
destroying one tenth of the world. Rave, which was in Prue's possession at the
time splintered into pieces and scattered all over the world. And now, Dark Bring
was about to go on its destructive spree again.
Time is present, a boy named Haru, living on a peaceful
island Garash, goes fishing and catches a strange creature on his hook.
The nose is shaped like a drill, the face is round and it has the body
of a dog. This creature was Rave's servant Prue. Haru
who inherits the power of Rave from Siva, together with Prue
and a girl gambler with a heavenly streak of luck called Elie, go off
on an adventure. The battle between Rave and Dark Bring was about to begin again.
